Brenton Foster continues to establish himself as a unique voice in the Australian original music scene. His new record, The Nature Of Light, was released as part of the 2017 Stonnington Jazz Festival and was PBS Feature Record in May 2017. The Nature Of Light followed Brenton’s 2016 release, Two Cities, which was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the 2016 The Age Music Victoria Awards.
Brenton’s sextet was also featured at the 2017 Melbourne International Jazz Festival before undertaking a massive seven-week residency at Melbourne’s newest jazz club, The Jazz Lab. These performances served as the perfect warm up for the upcoming The Nature Of Light Tour in September and October, 2017. The tour will see Brenton and the band perform throughout South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT – taking in both capital cities and regional centres along the way. Their third studio album, Reimagined, was released in June 2017.
